AI-Driven Creatives | Episode 4 with Sebastian Kamph

I had forgotten the feeling of childlike enthusiasm until this episode came along. The pure joy in sharing something valuable and worthwhile with others. If you'll be just 1/10th inspired by this talk as I was, this episode will leave you with an ear-to-ear smile and wanting to try some cool new tools for yourself.

In the fourth episode of Nifty Creatives, Alma and I had the pleasure of having Sebastian Kamph as a guest. Art Director by day, AI enthusiast and Visual Artist by night, Sebastian is steadily growing a community of AI enthusiasts who’re using tools like Stable Diffusion and Deforum to create fun and original pieces of AI art and finding new ways to use and contribute to improving the technology.

Go out, enjoy nature, have a walk around.

When he’s not working his full-time job or being a family man, Sebastian spends his time growing his YouTube channel (a wonderfully rapid growth) thanks to the very interesting tutorials and videos he creates and shares. You guessed it, he creates AI-driven videos and tutorials on how you too can use Stable Diffusion to bring to life fun, creative, and visually mesmerizing videos. If you’re up for a fun challenge, check out the video below and try creating your own AI video!

So, for the million-dollar question “is AI taking over the world?”(...the creative world, that is), this was the question we three creatives touched the surface of. One of the future trends will be “being hard to tell what’s real and what’s not on digital media”. Check out Curt Skelton's video below and let us know what you think about it (is it real or not 🤔?).

Joining trends is easy when you have people like Sebastian paving the way. When I first saw Sebastian's channel, my brain was ignited with the idea of using AI to create something new. The channel is dedicated to artificial intelligence and machine learning-related news and content, mostly open source and related to the creative arts.

This hella helpful and captivating channel is growing rapidly, as is the potential of AI-driven creativity. During our conversation, we dove into what it’s like using AI for video creation, how Sebastian does it, and other cool tips along the way. We also dove into the bits and pieces that most tickled our fancy, AI-Driven Creativity that is. Want to learn how to create your own AI videos? Explore Sebastian’s channel

As creatives, we’re always trying to figure stuff out, often through trial and error. That’s one of the reasons I love creative AI tools, they're an extension of my work and often save time or help me find inspiration when I'm struggling to produce. I really love using copy.ai when I need to find inspiration in words or push through a deadline that my mind has been long numb to. I love using Midjourney, DallE, and Canva's text-to-image feature to bring images from my head to reality (even if it's just for fun and inspiration). There's just so many tools out there.

AI is already finding application media as well. Here's an oldie but a goodie:

To get the ball rolling, just go on YouTube and just try and start your search and see what’s out there. Whether you want to explore AI art, music, or AI news, there are people who’re already exploring and who can inspire and pave the way. And the best part is whatever you want to do, you don’t have to do it alone. If you need a support system to help you when you get stuck, you can join Sebastian’s creative community on Discord, a little cozy community hangout where you’re free to talk and ask for help.

Alma and I were very inspired by this talk, and we’re sure you’ll be too.
